After well over a year, the Disney Cruise Line is sailing from Port Canaveral to the Bahamas once again!

Currently, voyages include 3-night and 4-night cruises with a stop on Castaway Cay. And, though guests can sail once again, there are quite a few changes to the boarding process due to COVID-19, but now preparing for your cruise is a little bit easier with a new feature on Disney Cruise Line’s website!
Now, guests can navigate to Disney Cruise Line’s Know Before You Go page and find a Pre-Cruise Checklist that provides helpful tasks and a timeline for when they should be completed prior to your cruise. Here’s a quick breakdown of the list!

Once you’ve booked your cruise, Disney suggests that you download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, purchase travel insurance, and reserve your premium activities (such as dining, Port Adventures, and more).

The tasks are then broken down based on the number of days prior to your trip so you can easily complete everything that you need prior to arriving at the terminal.
One month before your sail date, you’ll want to create an online account on the Safe Passage website, order your PCR testing kit (if you will not be providing proof of vaccination), complete online check-in, and reserve any sessions at Disney’s Oceaneers Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab for kiddos traveling with you.

Then, between 5 days and 24 hours prior to setting sail, you’ll want to be sure to take your pre-trip COVID-19 PCR test and upload your results to the Safe Passage website and ensure that everyone in your party is cleared to arrive at the port.
Just keep in mind that guests who are opting to provide proof of vaccination will be exempt from this step and the COVID-19 PCR test.

And, once embarkation day arrives, you’ll need to complete the pre-trip Health Questionnaire on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, ensure that you have your Port Arrival form, proof of travel insurance, and COVID-19 test results or proof of vaccination, and be prepared to take a second PCR test at the terminal before boarding (again, those with proof of vaccination will be exempt from the testing requirement).

Along with all of these steps, you’ll also want to be sure that you’ve read through all of the new health and safety measures from the Disney Cruise Line. Current policies include a requirement that face coverings be worn indoors, reduced capacity limits, and more.

Of course, we’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates from the Disney Cruise Line, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
