The Lunar New Year is coming up, and 2020 is the Year of the Mouse (well, Year of the Rat, but Disney is going with mouse!). If you aren’t familiar with Lunar New Year, it’s a major celebration in Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese culture for when the sun and moon start their new journey at the beginning of the year.

Disney Parks all around the globe are getting in on the celebration! While Disney California Adventure will be hosting its own Lunar New Year festival, Disney Parks worldwide will also be debuting their own collection of merchandise to celebrate. After all, it wouldn’t be the year of the mouse without Mickey!
The first stop on the world tour is Disney California Adventure! At the California park, you will find items like the Lunar New Year Spirit Jersey as well as the beautiful, butterfly-adorned Lunar New Year Minnie Ears!

Some of the Lunar New Year food booths area also getting their own merchandise! We love the Longevity Noodle Co Hat, which features the logo of the food booth that has been featured at the festival for years.

In Hong Kong Disneyland, there will be over 50 new items celebrating the Lunar New Year. That includes tons of new Tsum Tsums, as well as new Duffy items to celebrate the Year of the Mouse!

From now until February 9, Hong Kong Disneyland is hosting its own celebration: the “Magical Year After Year”, in celebration of Chinese New Year.

We need those new Tsum Tsums, like, right now! How cute are the Chip and Dale with their little pieces of cheese?

Shanghai Disneyland will also be debuting some new outfits for Duffy, along with all of his friends!

Additionally, there will also be some Mickey, Minnie, Chip, and Dale Plush featuring the characters dressed in celebratory Lunar New Year outfits.

If Disney World is your park of choice, you can also pick up some Lunar New Year items there! The Lunar New Year Spirit Jersey will be available at the China Pavilion in Epcot.

This adorable Mickey Lunar New Year Plush will also be available at the China Pavilion in Epcot. (You can also order Mickey online here and Minnie online here!)

In addition to the items available in the park, there are new Mickey and Minnie items available from Uniqlo, Gucci, and SK-II. If you are in Asia, there is a brand new Lunar New Year Mickey Mouse Funko.

Make sure to pick up all of this year’s merch while the Year of the Mouse is still ongoing! After all, next year is the year of the Ox, and we somehow doubt that Disney will have as large a variety of Clarabelle merchandise (but a fan can dream)!
