This NEW Tour Is a MUST DO for Disney Adults

Disneyland has a new tour that we’re so excited for! The Women Who Make the Magic Guided Tour uncovers the extraordinary achievements of the women behind Disneyland.

Reservations are open now, so go book if you’re interested! The first day of the tour is March 5th.

The tour will take you through Disneyland park to witness firsthand the accomplishments of legendary women who helped create Disneyland. It will include the contributions of more than eight women and detail how they got their start at The Walt Disney Company, made names for themselves, and paved the way for future generations of women at Disney.

The tour will include Mary Blair, who notably designed Disneyland’s “it’s a small world,” EPCOT‘s El Rio Del Tiempo, and the Contemporary Resort‘s Grand Canyon Concourse Mural.

Also included is costume designer Alice Davis. She designed costumes for Disneyland attractions, including Carousel of Progress, “it’s a small world,” and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Harriet Burns, the first female Disney Imagineer, will also be featured. She was a model maker and artist on attractions such as Matterhorn Bobsleds, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Also included is landscape architect Ruth Shellhorn. She designed Disneyland’s main entrance, Main Street, U.S.A., and Plaza Hub, along with most of the park’s sidewalks and paths.

Next up is Leota Toombs, a very familiar face. She helped design “it’s a small world,” Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Haunted Mansion. Leota was asked to pose for the woman floating in a crystal ball, and the character Madame Leota was named after her.

This isn’t even the full list of women included in the tour -– Disney announced there will be even more. Women Who Make the Magic Guided Tours will begin on March 5th with tickets at $110 per person, and reservations are open right now! Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disneyland updates.
