The Crowds in Disney World Right Now Are SHOCKING

Is it seriously already 2026?! Where does the time actually go?

It’s nearly 2026!

We’re ringing in the new year at Disney World — there’s no better way! It seems like a lot of people agree with us, because there are a lot of guests at the parks today. Let’s take a look at how busy Disney World is on the last day of 2025.

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!

Let’s start with the most popular park, Magic Kingdom! First of all, we were as prepared as we could’ve been. New Year’s Eve was sold out, but once we were there on December 30th, we knew for sure that these couple of days were going to be hectic. Parking at the Transportation and Ticket Center was limited, and crowds were wild.

There were SO many people at Magic Kingdom on December 30th

We visited Magic Kingdom on December 30th to see the New Year’s Eve Fireworks show, Fantasy in the Sky, before going on December 31st. The fireworks were presented at 7:30 PM and 11:50 PM on December 30th, and will be at the same times on December 31st.

If the crowds on the day before New Year’s Eve are any indication of what tonight will be like, we are in for a wild night! By 5 PM on December 30th, viewing areas were limited to Frontierland and Tomorrowland.

Around 5 PM on New Year’s Eve, the ride wait times were surprisingly low. Every ride was under 100 minutes except TRON Lightcycle / Run, which was at 130 minutes.

Now, let’s check out what’s happening at the second busiest park, and a personal favorite for New Year’s Eve. EPCOT is well-known for its New Year’s Eve celebrations. There are sometimes dance parties at different pavilions, and sometimes they celebrate New Year’s Eve in the real country’s time zone. Top it all off with an AMAZING fireworks display.

When we got to the entrance around 4 PM, there weren’t many people working their way into the park.

The entrance around 4 PM wasn’t very busy

However, over by Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, the crowds were poppin’. The wait time for the indoor roller coaster was over 190 minutes! Other rides with wait times over 100 minutes at 5 PM included Mission: SPACE, Frozen Ever After, Soarin’ Around the World, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Test Track.

There were a lot of people trying to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Later on, as we were wandering World Showcase and enjoying the New Year’s Eve countdowns in each country pavilion, the crowds were VERY heavy. There are certainly a lot of people in EPCOT tonight for the celebrations. It’s really neat that you can ring in the New Year over and over at each pavilion!

That’s a lot of people!

We’re expecting Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios to all be busy today and tonight! You can catch fireworks at all three parks. EPCOT’s display will be at 11:54 PM, and Hollywood Studios’ show will start at 11:57 PM.

Make sure to stay tuned to AllEars, we’re covering the entire night at the parks and updating this post with more New Year’s Eve crowd info!
