It’s been a wild week for Disney news!

From major Disneyland Paris announcements to new technology coming to Disney World, there are a lot of exciting things on the horizon. Let’s take a look at all the major announcements Disney has made. Buckle up, it’s going to be a long one!
Opening Date for World of Frozen
This won’t be the first time you hear about Disney Adventure World, the totally reimagined park coming to Disneyland Paris. Ever since Disney announced World of Frozen would be coming to Disneyland Paris, we’ve been screaming “show yourself”! Now, we know when we’ll finally get to experience the kingdom of Arendelle in person — March 29th, 2026.

The land’s opening day will also be the official day that Walt Disney Studios Park changes into Disney Adventure World. The World of Frozen will feature Elsa’s Ice Palace and the Arendelle Castle, as well as the Frozen Ever After attraction. We seriously can’t wait to see this new land, so don’t ask us to let it go!

Olaf is Coming to the World of Frozen
What’s Frozen without the beloved snowman who loves warm hugs?! Along with the opening date news, Disney dropped an announcement AND first look at the new animatronic that will be strolling through Arendelle.

That’s right, guests will be able to see Olaf roaming around! This will be a self-walking Olaf animatronic, and he’s not just coming to Disneyland Paris; he’ll also be landing in Hong Kong Disney. Disney Imagineering said these “next generation robotics” will be debuting in early 2026.

Olaf will also have a snow-like shimmer that was enhanced by iridescent fibers. Disney shared that details like this made him “one of the most expressive and true-to-life characters built.” Disney Imagineer Michel den Dulk said Olaf represents the “latest in technology and storytelling.”

To make the character as authentic as possible, Disney “used a branch of artificial intelligence called reinforcement learning, pushing the limits of hardware to achieve the creative intent of the artists.” He can fully articulate his mouth, eyes, and removable carrot nose and arms.

Two New Restaurants at World of Frozen
We told you there was a lot of news surrounding Disney Adventure World! Disney announced some new restaurants that would be coming to the World of Frozen, and they look magical. We can’t wait to be screaming, “The window is open, so’s that door,” as we run up to these new dining spots. One spot is called Nordic Crowns Tavern, which will offer the warm, welcoming spirit of Arendelle.

It’s a quick-service restaurant that will serve lunch and dinner, and the decor will feature galleries of paintings and royal artifacts. It’s a customizable dining experience inspired by Nordic cuisine. The menu has 16 possible combinations that include a hearty base paired with proteins and seasonal vegetables, finished with a choice of cranberry or creamy dill sauce.

Then there’s the Regal View Restaurant & Lounge, which is a character dining restaurant fit for royalty. The dining spot will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and it’s dedicated to Disney Princesses. There you’ll be able to meet Bell, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel!

The restaurant has tons of details and nods to the princesses. The ornamental plates are inspired by Disney Princesses and handmade by Royal Delft, the renowned Dutch porcelain manufacturer and official supplier to the Dutch royal family. The lounge will be the first bar located at Disneyland Paris. There are beautiful royal-blue hues and a wooden bar accented with gold. There’s also artwork dedicated to the sidekicks of Disney Princesses.

First look at Disney Adventure World’s Tangled Ride
Walt Disney Studios Park officially becomes Disney Adventure World on March 29th, 2026. We talked about the World of Frozen coming to the park, but that’s not the only iconic Disney Princess that will be featured there. A new Tangled ride will be coming to the park as well.

The attraction is called Raiponce Tangled Spin, and it whirls you around underneath the floating lanterns. Mandy Moore came back to voice Rapunzel exclusively for this ride! You’ll hear her in the recorded audio announcements.

Smugglers Run Update
We’ve known for a while that the Mandalorian and Grogu would be featured in the new scenes and updates coming to the Smugglers Run ride in Disney World and Disneyland. Well, we finally have some more NEW info about how the ride is being updated.

The ride is getting brand new destinations, and will feature an all-new function where the engineer will be the one who picks where you’re headed. The new missions will be inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu movie, which releases on May 22nd, 2026, the same day the ride updates at the two parks!

Disney’s partnership with Epic Games made this new “enhanced storytelling” possible because of Epic’s Unreal Engine 5. Disney shared that they worked with the Unreal Engine to ensure that the 5 monitors used during the ride can operate smoothly, just like one monitor would when you’re playing a game at home. They used the Unreal models from the new movie in the new ride scenes so they could avoid making all of the new aspects from scratch. It’s pretty awesome because it guarantees that it’s 100% authentic to the film.

The new missions will debut on May 22nd, 2026, at Disneyland and Hollywood Studios! We’re pumped to explore the galaxy in the Millennium Falcon in a whole new way.

Is Hades Coming to Villains Land at Magic Kingdom?
It’s not confirmed, but we think Disney may have dropped a hint on what they could be working on for the upcoming Villains Land in Magic Kingdom. While talking about different audio animatronics, Disney shared that the current technology lets Imagineers bring characters to life more quickly and accurately than ever before. They also wrote that this technology is “especially transformative for characters who have traditionally challenging features to create, like Mike Wazowski, Lightning McQueen, or Hades.”

Yep, you read that right, HADES! Although it isn’t confirmed, this could be a huge hint that Hades may be coming to the highly anticipated land at Magic Kingdom. Only time will tell!

Disney’s Meta Glasses
It was also announced that Disney is teaming up with Meta to integrate the latter’s AI Glasses into theme parks and other experiences. This collaboration will allow Imagineers to “unlock a world of innovation and storytelling.” Disney revealed that the relationship could lead to “future visualization possibilities, like providing guests with real-time information about nearby offerings and products while in Disney parks,” while Imagineers could also “leverage this technology for behind-the-scenes design applications to enhance the ways they bring stories to life.”

What a week for Disney news, with lots of exciting things on the horizon! For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to AllEars.
