Why Disney Adults Are Switching to Brooks for Their Next Trip

If there’s one thing the AllEars team knows, it’s Disney World, and if there’s a second thing we know, it’s that bad shoes can ruin your vacation.

Brooks!

We’re in the parks every single day, walking miles through Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and everywhere in between, and trust us when we say your feet will feel every step. So when we find a pair of shoes that actually make those miles feel easier, we have to share. That’s why we’re talking about the Brooks Ghost 17 Neutral Running Shoes and why Disney adults everywhere are starting to swear by them.

The Brooks Ghost 17s are technically marketed as neutral running shoes, but don’t let that fool you! They’re a dream for anyone who spends long days on their feet. They’re designed for balance, offering a blend of soft yet dynamic cushioning that makes each step feel smooth and natural, which is a huge plus when you’re clocking 20,000 steps in a day at Disney World.

Here’s where these shoes really shine. The nitrogen-infused cushioning in the heel and forefoot provides that perfect bounce you want when walking all day. It’s like your feet are gently gliding instead of slamming into the pavement. The air mesh upper keeps things breathable (a lifesaver in Florida humidity), while the kickback collar offers extra ankle comfort without trapping heat. We especially love how the midsole and outsole flex grooves work together to support every part of your step, not just the initial impact. Add in a comfy toe box that hugs, but doesn’t pinch, and you’ve got a shoe that feels supportive without feeling stiff.

We’ll admit it, these shoes are a bit of an investment. But when it comes to keeping your feet happy on a Disney trip, they’re absolutely worth it. The Brooks Ghost 17s deliver on every promise: comfort, support, and durability. At first, they might feel a little snug, but once you’ve worn them for a bit, the cushioning molds perfectly to your foot. The result? A bouncy, supported stride that makes it easier to tackle another lap around EPCOT’s World Showcase.

Very comfortable!

Our reporter’s biggest pro? That plush, cloud-like cushioning makes you feel like you’re gliding through the parks instead of trudging through them. The biggest con? They can feel a little tight right out of the box, so we recommend sizing up a half or full size if you prefer more wiggle room.

They are very supportive!

Would we buy them again? 100% yes, even from our reporter who HATES tennis shoes (We’re looking at you, Myranda!). The Ghost 17s might be designed for runners, but they’ve earned a permanent spot in our Disney park rotation. They’re not quite as soft as the HOKA Clifton 10s (our reigning comfort champ), but they come very close, and actually beat out a few of the other HOKA models we’ve tried. For us, that makes them one of the top all-around shoes for long park days.
