I’ve been going to Disney Springs for decades, but until recently, I never did this one thing that has now changed the way I do Disney Springs!

Disney Springs has become a must-do destination at Disney World, offering far more than just shopping. With more than 50 dining options, live entertainment, and unique experiences, it’s the perfect place to spend an evening outside the parks. Many guests head there with one goal in mind: enjoying a sit-down meal at a popular restaurant, but there’s so much more to discover if you step away from the traditional plan.
When most people think about a trip to Disney Springs, the plan usually revolves around one sit-down restaurant reservation and a little shopping afterward. That’s the way I always approached it, too, by securing a hard-to-get dinner at a spot like The Boathouse or Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, then browsing World of Disney before heading back to the resort. But on a recent visit, I tried something completely different, and it ended up making my day so much better: eating and drinking my way around Disney Springs.

The truth is, you don’t need to commit to just one dining reservation here. Disney Springs is packed with quick-service restaurants, walk-up bars, and small snack spots that make it easy to sample a wide variety of flavors in one visit. Instead of waiting for a single sit-down meal, you can create your own progressive dining adventure by hopping from one place to the next. It’s a more flexible, laid-back way to enjoy everything the area has to offer, and it gives you the chance to try way more than just one menu.

For example, you could start your night at D-Luxe Burger with one of their juicy, over-the-top burgers and hand-cut fries. From there, head over to the bar at Homecomin’ for an appetizer and one of their famous moonshine cocktails.

If you’re still hungry, check out the walk-up window at Morimoto Asia Street Food for street-food-style bites packed with flavor. And of course, no trip is complete without dessert — Summer House on the Lake has its delicious cookie bar that is perfect for ending your Disney Springs crawl on a high note.

The best part? There’s no stress about snagging a reservation or sticking to a set dining time. You can simply show up, see what looks good, and follow your appetite. This approach also works really well for groups because everyone can grab what they want without being locked into the same restaurant. It turns a typical dinner outing into something more spontaneous, flavorful, and fun.

So next time you’re headed to Disney Springs, consider skipping the traditional dinner reservation. Come hungry, pace yourself, and let yourself experience a little bit of everything. You might be surprised at how much more enjoyable and delicious your evening turns out to be.
