5 Hollywood Studios Snacks We Avoid at ALL COSTS

Hollywood Studios isn’t the Disney World park particularly known for its food; however, you can find some great snacks and meals!

Hollywood Studios

The carrot cake cookie at the Trolley Car Café, the wookie cookie at Backlot Express, and the totchos at Woody’s Lunch Box are all examples of food items we will never get enough of. But there are certainly a few items we avoid at all costs!

Before we dive in, we want to hear YOUR thoughts! Leave a review right here on AllEars for the restaurants you’ve been to so you can help out fellow Disney lovers planning their next trip!

Batuu Bits at Oga’s Cantina

Batuu Bits are a snack available at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This little cantina is a fun place to visit, especially if you love Star Wars. But the Batuu Bits are a bit lack luster.

Batuu Bits

This snack tray is literally just bits and pieces of chip-like snacks with a dip. For $12, we’d rather snack on the Umbaran Cheese Roll or the ronto wrap at Ronto Roasters.

Anything but the Carrot Cake at The Trolley Car Café

The Trolley Car Café is the Starbucks location in Hollywood Studios. You’ll find some of the usual Starbucks snacks here along with a few specialty items unique to the park, such as the Carrot Cake.

The Trolley Car Café

We will die on the hill that the carrot cake is always worth the stop here, but anything else (other than the coffee) is skippable.

Blue and Green Milk (You Either Love ‘Em or You Hate ‘Em)

We’re headed back to Galaxy’s Edge and stopping by the Milk Stand! Here you’ll find the blue and green milks made famous in the Star Wars franchise movies.

The Milk Stand

The blue and green milks are fruity flavored combinations of coconut and rice milks. You can get them as alcoholic or non-alcoholic variations. While some people love them (and typically only one or the other, never both), many others hate them altogether. There really is not middle ground for these milks. But they do take VERY good pictures.

Hollywood Scoops

Hollywood Scoops is located on Sunset Boulevard and is part of the Sunset Hills Ranch Food Court. You’ll find all kinds of ice cream treats here that will certainly do the trick on a hot day, but it’s nothing we’ll ever go crazy for.

Hollywood Scoops

We recently tried the Chocolate Bourbon Milkshake that we really didn’t care for (other than the candied bacon, of course). The bourbon was poured on bottom with the shake layered on top, and we had to mix it in ourselves, which didn’t work very well. It ended up being a chocolate shake with a straight shot of bourbon at the end.

Hollywood Scoops

Frankly, the ice cream likely won’t give you the wow factor. But it will do the trick if you just need a cold snack or for the fun seasonal offerings.

Ice Cold Hydraulics

This might be controversial, but the relatively new snack stand, Ice Cold Hydraulics, is just “okay,” in our opinion.

Ice Cold Hydraulics

This stand serves Coca-Cola infused treats like cinnamon rolls and mini churros. While the flavor is sweet and fairly yummy, the rolls and churros themselves are usually on the dry side and the sauce is usually very sticky and thick.

In general, there are better snacks in the park.

These are a few of our least favorite items at Hollywood Studios, but if you love them, then we hope you enjoy! As for us, we’ll be grabbing at ronto wrap in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

  1. I have been on at least 20 trips to Disney and always wanted a churro. Last year we went in April and I finally got to try one. Worst thing I ever ate. We were walking around adventure land and saw a churro stand open. Hubby and I each took a bite and both of us said we would never get it again.

  2. A ronto wrap from Ronto Roasters with a carrot cake cookie from Trolley Car Cafe for dessert is the perfect meal at Hollywood Studios! It’s also one of the more affordable ones, too, with a very shareable carrot cake cookie!

  3. Sorry but Scoops is special. Yes it’s not superior ice cream and yes the line can be long but the reward feeling of cold sweetness on a hot day, especially after getting off of Aerosmith (yes I’ll keep calling it that) and Twilight Zone is special. It’s like one of those old York Peppermint Patty commercials, ‘top of a cold and wintery mountain.’
