Their announcement was posted on Instagram with the closing words being, “Please do not go to the airport.” Silver was trying to sell their assets to another airline holding company, but once they decided not to continue, the company shut their doors.

Silver offered nonstop flights to Fort Lauderdale, Key West, and Pensacola from the Tampa International Airport. Other airlines also operate on the same routes, but with no advance notice of their canceled flights, passengers had to spend more money to secure limited seating on other airlines.

All of the flights booked should be refunded, according to the company’s Instagram post.
