It’s the age-old debate: Disneyland vs. Disney World!

I’m team Disneyland personally, but I am a frequent visitor to both coasts. While we’re constantly pointing out differences in how you plan trips for each Disney resort, I’ve noticed one mistake people keep making at Disneyland. So today, I’m sharing what I pack for Disneyland that I do NOT pack for Disney World trips!
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
Yes, you’ll want to keep sunscreen, a solid park bag, Minnie ears, and comfortable shoes on your Disneyland packing list. But you might need to upgrade from a carry-on to a checked bag so that you can pack PLENTY of layers.

It’s easy for frequent Disney World visitors to forget about sweatshirts or jackets because Florida is so warm all of the time. I usually toss one in my bag just in case, but I barely use it. And if I do, I don’t need more than one light jacket.
However, in California, even if it’s warm in the afternoon, the temperature can drop pretty dramatically. Believe me, I’ve had to pay $80 for a jacket in the park because I couldn’t stop shivering after dark despite being in a t-shirt all day.

I’ve learned my lesson, which is why I put sweatshirts at the very top of my list now! Want some options for your next trip? One of my favorites is this Disneyland Logo Sweatshirt.

If I’m going to buy a Disney sweatshirt, I prefer to buy it online because there are usually discounts, making it much cheaper than purchasing them inside the parks.
I’m also obsessed with a classic Mickey sweatshirt like this. It goes with everything, especially with a navy or grey color as the base!

This is nice and cozy for those cool nights in the parks, and if you see Mickey in the parks, we will LOVE it.
The viral Winnie the Pooh and Friends Sweatshirts sold out again and again in the parks, but you can find the Tigger version online right now!

It’s adorable and warm, so it’s the perfect layer to throw on at Disneyland.
As a bonus, it can also get DRY in California. Lip balm is a staple in many people’s park bags, but you’re going to want to triple-check you have some! If you want to be on theme, you can snag this Hunny Pot Lip Balm Set.

It comes with two lip balms in vanilla and honey flavors, and you can snag it on Amazon!
So next time you’re heading to Disneyland, trust me and pack plenty of layers (and lots of lip balm!). Here at AllEars, we’ll continue to be here to help plan your next trip to the Disney parks, so stay tuned for more!
