While cruising on the open sea, make sure you don’t do these 5 things to get banned.

If you are planning a cruise, there are policies and procedures you have to agree to when booking the cruise. You will want to know these ahead of time to make sure you aren’t breaking any rules while having fun.
If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
1. Bringing Prohibited Items
With every cruise line, there will be a list of prohibited items that you cannot bring onboard. For example, with Disney Cruise Line, you cannot bring weapons, firearms, or ammunition. As well as marijuana and illicit drugs.

There are also things you might not think of being prohibited, like scissors with blades exceeding 4 inches, electric irons, steamers, or power strips, multi-plugs, and surge protectors.

2. Illegal Activities
You are at risk of being banned for participating in illegal activities like theft from the cruise or other guests. As well as impersonating crew members on board, since it’s a safety risk.

3. Breaking Safety Regulations
Guests should follow all safety regulations, such as not climbing on railings on the ship or hanging over the balcony. On Carnival Cruises, smoking of any kind is a fire hazard. Guidelines are clearly communicated on board, and guests must follow those requirements.

4. Bad Behaviors
Carnival Cruise Line states that “all guests are expected to treat others with respect. The captain has full authority for actions taken by the crew with regard to safety and security.” Similar policies will be in place on other cruise lines.

5. Throwing Items Overboard
Guests are expected not to throw items overboard, as it is a safety hazard. This includes trash, food, and personal items.
