We’ve got big cruise news for the frequent sailors out there!

Margaritaville At Sea currently has two ships in its fleet, the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise and Margaritaville at Sea Islander. However, the company has just made a massive announcement — they’ll be acquiring a NEW ship in 2026!
While celebrating the company’s third anniversary of inception, the company announced that they will be acquiring their third ship, the Costa Fortuna (currently operated by Costa Cruises) in 2026. This will be their largest ship with over 1,340 staterooms, 13 passenger decks, expansive outdoor spaces, and a soaring 8-story center atrium. The ship is expected to be able to hold about 3,450 passengers, even after its retheming by the company, and weighs 102,500 gross tons.

When making the announcement, John Cohlan, CEO of Margaritaville said, “Margaritaville at Sea has been on an exceptional trajectory since its launch only a few short years ago. We’re thrilled to once again expand the experience of our brand on the water and share the cruise line’s signature experiences and amenities with even more guests.”

Additionally, Christopher Ivy, Chief Executive Officer of Margaritaville at Sea confirmed a new homeport, saying, “The launch of the Margaritaville at Sea Islander was a significant moment for our company, and the acquisition of the Costa Fortuna, our largest ship to date, gives us another exciting opportunity to bring even more fun and escapism to guests from a new homeport in 2026.”

Recently, Margaritaville at Sea won Cruise Critic’s #1 Cruisers Choice Award and Newsweek 2025 Best Ship for Families, and that’s just one among several awards. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news about this acquisition, so stay tuned to AllEars!
