We’ve got BIG Disney parade news to share!

Disneyland is busy gearing up to celebrate its 70th birthday, and they mean to make a big deal out of this milestone! While we’ve already gotten a sneak peek of what’s to come with updated costumes for the characters, decor we’ll find walkin’ right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A., and more, there’s another surprise Disney’s got in store for us!
We already knew that a beloved nighttime parade would be returning to the park soon, but there’s another change in store for this popular addition.

Beginning on May 16th, Paint the Night will once again take to the streets to perform in Disneyland for the 70th anniversary celebration. This captivating parade debuted on May 22nd, 2015, for Disneyland’s 60th celebration and ran again briefly for the 2016 holiday season, and again as part of Pixar Fest, which concluded in November 2018.

The parade quickly became a popular addition to the nightlife around Disneyland, and many were sad to see it leave the park and take a lengthy hiatus. That will all be changing, though, in just a few short weeks, and you’ll have an opportunity to see it twice each night it performs. Paint the Night is currently scheduled to run at 8:45 PM and again at 10:45 PM nightly once it comes back.

That’s not all, though! With the parade’s return, Disney also mentioned that we would see the Frozen Fractal parade float once again, which we haven’t seen since the initial debut of Paint the Night.

This sparkling parade float featuring Anna and Elsa from Frozen will rejoin the other popular Disney character floats from Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more.
Interestingly, we noticed that the Incredibles float is missing from Disney’s list. We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like that float may not return.

If you’re a fan of the Main Street Electrical Parade, once found in Disneyland, you don’t have to worry! This parade’s special rendition of Owl City’s “When Can I See You Again” as well as other tunes from Disney and Pixar film scores gives a nod to the original nighttime parade’s electrical beat.

This parade is fun, the whole family can enjoy with its dazzling combination of high-energy music, state-of-the-art special effects, radiant procession of luminescent floats, and vibrant costumed performers filled with some of our favorite Disney characters! The excitement for Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration is becoming increasingly palpable as we learn even more details of how Disney plans to share the celebration with its visitors.
Don’t go anywhere! There’s always more Disney news, updates, changes, and more to share. Be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars so you don’t miss a thing.
