Yes, I Know YOU Like Them, But Here Are 3 Disney World Snacks I Avoid

I love snacking in Disney World!

There’s nothing like a Disney snack!

From Magic Kingdom‘s spring rolls to EPCOT’s festival favorites, there are so many great options when it comes to dining in the parks! There are also some not-so-great options, and I am finally revealing the snacks I skip every time.

There are so many delicious Disney World snacks that I obsess over, but not even Disney is perfect. There are some snacks I skip every single time, and I’m sharing all of my secrets right here. Why are they secrets? Well, there’s at least one thing on this list that will be controversial.

Me in EPCOT!

Starting off, I skip Disney World churros every time I’m in the park! I know, I know, they’re kinda iconic. They’re also (for some reason) super stale every time I’ve tried one.

Disney World Churro

Now, a Disneyland churro is different, they’re perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with an amazing amount of sugary goodness on the outside.  I think that the truly iconic churro is Disneyland’s, and it somehow became “Disney” rather than park-specific, leading to the misunderstanding that Disney World churros are good. They just aren’t!

Second, and my most controversial snack, is the Caramel Butter Bar. The Caramel Butter Bar is an absolute Disney staple for so many people, including AJ from Disney Food Blog, which is why I tend to keep this a secret. I don’t know what it is about them, but I just don’t enjoy them. The butter almost reminds me of too much oil and has made me sick in the past.

Karamell-Kuche Butter Bar

You can grab these at Karamell Kuche in the Germany Pavilion, but I personally won’t be. I might, one day, maybe, give them another try. I don’t think it will be anytime soon, though. (AJ, I am so sorry.) Finally, if I order the Plant-Based Cheese Pizza from Pinocchio Village Haus, call the doctor.

The plant-based cheese pizza!

Let me start by saying I love plant-based foods! Breedlove has shown me so many amazing plant-based options, and I love a good vegetable, but this pizza is just downright bad. The cheese reminds me of glue, and maybe some people like that, but I certainly do not. I also think the crust is tough, and the poor tomato sauce is fighting for its life, stuck between the two.

It just doesn’t look appetizing to me.

So these are my skips, but I’d never leave you hanging with just a few bad reviews! After extensive research, I found alternatives for all three of these skips. If you really need some churros, head over to Nomad Lounge!

These churros are everything you want them to be. Crispy, soft, and sweet! They also come with a vanilla crema and seasonal sauce to make them even better. Plus, they’re gluten-free! Next, if you really need some caramel goodness, grab the Caramel Popcorn from Karamell Kuche!

It’s a great salty, sweet, and crunchy snack that can even double as a souvenir to take back home! I have family members who will go to EPCOT just for this! Finally, there are several amazing plant-based snacks throughout Disney World that can help you avoid the glue pizza.

Plant-Based Chicago Dog

Casey’s Corner Plant-Based Chicago-style Hot Dog is a great alternative in Magic Kingdom that Breedlove adores! If you’re resort hopping, I’m obsessed with the Grilled Vegetable Skewer at Bar Riva at Riviera Resort.

You can add chicken or salmon to the skewer if you aren’t plant-based, but this is easily my favorite item at the entire restaurant, and I’m saying that as an omnivore! I go out of my way for it, and I grab an Almond Cold Brew from Le Petit Cafe while I’m there.

There are just so many delicious options in Disney World and I want to make sure you spend your money on what’s truly good! It’s important to remember that if you love these snacks, keep on getting them! Disney World is a personal experience, I just don’t think I can join you in munching on those snack cart churros. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney reviews and updates!
