If you’re planning on heading to Universal’s Epic Universe, you’d better hold on to your garlic and silver bullets!

Epic Universe is set to bring a chilling new world to life with Dark Universe, and the recent announcements have us ready to dive into the shadows. From spine-tingling attractions to eerie dining experiences, Universal is giving classic monsters a modern makeover. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming to this monster-filled land.
Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment
Billed as Universal’s “most terrifying attraction yet,” this state-of-the-art dark ride will take you deep into the catacombs of Frankenstein Manor. Dr. Victoria Frankenstein, the great-great-granddaughter of Henry Frankenstein, invites guests to witness her control over monsters. But when her experiment with Dracula goes haywire, chaos ensues.

Expect encounters with The Wolf Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and the Brides of Dracula as you attempt to escape the madness. Plus, keep an eye out for the Phantom of the Opera’s organ, which will feature 14 synchronized flame points.
Curse of the Werewolf Coaster
This spinning family coaster is inspired by The Wolf Man and will take you through the encampment of The Guild of Mystics. After receiving a warning from Maleva, the guild’s seer, you’ll board a wagon and race through a dark forest to evade werewolves—and avoid becoming one yourself.

The ride reaches speeds of 37 mph and lasts over two minutes, complete with eerie sheds and clawing figures.
Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience
Want to fully embrace the monstrous vibes? Step into Dr. Pretorius’ converted lab, now a makeup parlor where skilled artists will transform your look. This is perfect for fans eager to channel their inner creature of the night.

Monster Meet-and-Greets
Prepare to rub elbows (or claws) with iconic Universal monsters. You’ll encounter Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s Monster, the alluring Bride of Frankenstein, Ygor, The Invisible Man, and more. Plus, a mysterious musician will serenade guests with tales of these classic creatures.

Restaurants
Das Stakehaus
This quick-service dining hall, built over ancient catacombs, is run by vampire familiars who size up patrons as potential “guests” for a vampire feast. The menu will feature kebabs, burgers, and sandwiches. Keep an eye on the eerie paintings that depict vampires as heroes and reveal some of Darkmoor’s history.

Burning Blade Tavern
Located in a smoldering windmill, this tavern is the preferred hangout of Darkmoor’s monster hunters. The windmill erupts in flames several times an hour, and the menu includes burgers, bratwurst, wings, and specialty beverages. Listen closely for the infamous tales of the “Hounds,” hunters who boast of their monster conquests.

De Lacey’s Cottage
Near Frankenstein Manor, this snack stand will serve treats like cinnamon bread, ice cream, and twisted taters. According to lore, this is where the original Frankenstein’s Monster once found sustenance and friendship.
Shopping
Pretorius’ Scientific Oddities
Want to take a piece of Dark Universe home? This retail spot will offer commemorative merchandise and mementos inspired by the immortal world of Universal monsters.

Danny Elfman’s Score
To top it all off, the legendary Danny Elfman is composing the music for Dark Universe. Expect an epic, eerie soundtrack that perfectly captures the mood of this hauntingly immersive land.

With all these spine-chilling experiences on the way, Dark Universe is shaping up to be one of the most unique and thrilling parts of Epic Universe. Get ready to step into the shadows and embrace the monsters when the park opens its gates
