Sometimes your big park day will be filled with rain and storms, or maybe it’s much colder or warmer than you were expecting and you’re not dressed for the occasion. If you’re in Disney World today, you need to know that there are some wind advisories out there you need to be prepared for.

There’s a wind advisory in effect today from 10 AM this morning through 7 PM tonight. You can expect to experience 15 to 20 mph winds with gusts up to 35 mph!

Gusty winds are expected to blow around unsecured objects and also make driving difficult at times, so if you’re behind the wheel, pay close attention and expect the wind to push you a bit every now and then when a gust comes by.

Disney rides typically don’t have trouble and don’t often need to close due to wind, but outdoor attractions are more at risk of closure if winds become strong enough to impact the safety of guests or Cast Members.
