I Go to Disney World Every Day and These Are the Biggest Mistakes I’ve Made at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival is almost here and we couldn’t be more excited!

This year, the spring Flower and Garden Festival will take place from March 5th through June 2nd. But I’m here to tell you 4 BIG mistakes I’ve made at this festival and how to avoid them!

1. I Didn’t Plan Ahead — Yes, It’s Necessary!

So I know that the information for Flower and Garden can feel overwhelming ahead of time. I used to think that I could show up to EPCOT, casually stroll around and look at menus there, but I was wrong.

OK — so you can do that, but I found myself wasting money and time. I was ordering things that did not taste as good as they sounded. I was walking all over aimlessly looking at menus. Until I started researching ahead of time what items others who have tried it thought were good, what booths were worth your money, and what to avoid! Thankfully, I work with a great team of people who do just that.

The AllEars team is there on the opening day of the festival trying the food and drinking and reviewing it for all of us who will be heading to the festival soon. It’s so great to hear a first-hand account of what the items are like so I know what to spend my money on. The team will put out a YouTube video recapping everything, and we will have articles on the first day of the festival with our reviews so stay tuned!

2. I Didn’t Share and It Backfired!

Of course, I wanted to try all of the food and drinks, but I used to think I needed my own. Now, I know that it’s better to share drinks and food items. Not only does this save me money, but it gives me enough room to get multiple items without feeling sick.

This is also a good idea if you have a dining reservation later in the day. You don’t want to fill up ahead of time and not enjoy your table service dinner.

3. I Missed My Favorite Band

During this spring festival, you can catch the Garden Rocks Concert Series at the America Gardens Theatre, and Disney has just released the FULL LINEUP of artists! But if there is a performer you really want to see, don’t make the mistake I did.

Garden Rocks Dining Package

A few years ago, I highly underestimated how many guests would want to see the concert. There are long lines waiting to get into the American Theater and I missed out on a seat. So our tip is to grab a dining package for the concert. The Dining Package allows you to have a great table service meal at any time of the day, and you get to choose which of the three showings you’d like to attend that evening. You’ll have a reserved area to sit in at that show, so there’s no need to show up hours ahead of time to wait in line just in HOPES of getting a seat.

4. I Only Focused On The Food and Drinks

I used to be so excited for the food booths, that I skipped out on what makes this festival unique. All over EPCOT are gorgeous topiaries. Some are even Disney characters!

Don’t miss the Butterfly Landing. This is a walk-through garden that has gorgeous flowers but also butterflies inside of it. It’s so fun to see them everywhere in there. It’s also a good way to slow down and enjoy the day!
