The Disney Treasure may not take her maiden voyage until December 21st, but today, we got to see the ship LIVE and in person! We attended the Disney Treasure Christening Spectacular in New York, and soon, we will go INSIDE to explore the sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

We are live and ready to take you through a first look at this brand-new ship! So stay tuned with us all week, and we will update you with all kinds of FUN new details!
This ship is the sister ship to the Disney Wish, and according to Disney, the Disney Treasure ship is where the “spirit of adventure meets the daring tales of classic Disney films and Disney park attractions.” Let’s take a look at this brand-new ship!

Day One: Disney Treasure Christening Spectacular
Before we got to step on board, the ship went through the Christening Ceremony, which took place on the evening of November 19th in New York City. This is a ceremony all Disney Cruise Line ships have gone through, and we were thrilled to be there in person!

To start off the ceremony, we got to see Josh D’Amaro and Bob Iger chat about the ship, and they were joined by Mickey and Minnie, too!

Then, it was time for the main event, which included a new preview of the ship. The sneak peek started with a quote from Walt Disney, and then we were shown some of the most anticipated spots on board. Below, we can see a preview of Jumbeaux’s Sweets — look at that sweet treat!

We are already feeling a little misty-eyed (and yet so excited)! The preview gave us a look at the new Plaza de Coco restaurant…

…complete with a peek inside the restaurant. Prepare for some FESTIVE live performances!

We even got to see the highly-anticipated Haunted Mansion Parlor. Check out those spooky details!

And then it was time for the REAL show to begin, which kicked off with Jordin Sparks singing the official anthem of the Disney Treasure called “Live The Adventure!”

Then came a very impressive drone display that played out scenes and iconic characters from some of the Disney IP seen aboard the ship, paired with matching music!

We got to see scenes from Aladdin, Moana, Coco, Haunted Mansion, and more! And yes, that is a Madame Leota crystal ball made out of DRONES.

We were truly stunned by this display, and in the midst of the fun, there was a message that relayed the official Christening message, stating that the ship was being blessed, along with every person who travels on it.

It was unlike any Christening ceremony we’d seen before, and we were having a great time!

Boarding
The moment we have been waiting for finally arrived on day 2. We entered the port in preparation to board the Disney Treasure.

The port greeted us with some fun decor that welcomed us to the ship.

So let’s go onboard!
Grand Hall
When we stepped into the Grand Hall, we were greeted by Captain Minnie who welcomed us aboard.

The Grand Hall itself is magnificent, filled with a lot of beautiful details that could day days to describe.

This is where you’ll also see a statue of Aladdin and Jasmine on their Magic Carpet ride.

The grand hall also includes a stage with some gorgeous details.

Next up? We’re going to check out the dining. on board the ship.
Dining
The Disney Treasure will feature a Coco dining experience that’s a first-of-its-kind for that movie. At Plaza de Coco, you’ll have a theatrical experience while you dine on Mexiccan food.

The dining room is full of vibrant colors, but also some great details from the Coco movie, like this Ofrenda.

You’ll have two experiences at this restaurant onboard the Treasure. On the first night, it will be a fiesta with Miguel and the town mariachis playing live songs with dancing. The second night is a Dia de los Mertos celebration that will include Miguel and his family. As we mentioned, the food here will be Mexican fare, and we even got a sneak peek at some of the dishes.

SNEAK PEEK! Go Inside the NEW Plaza de Coco Restaurant on Disney’s Treasure Cruise Ship
We then stepped into the Worlds of Marvel Restaurant, which also have two different dining experiences, including the new “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” which stars Groot in a quest to throw a surprise party for Rocket.

In “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” you’ll have a run-in with Spider-Man as you help him save the world.

Needless to say, Marvel fans are going to love both experiences.

Lounges
The Disney Treasure will also feature 1923 Restaurant, which we first saw on the Disney Wish. The year in the restaurant’s name is the year that Walt Disney Studios was founded, so expect a lot of details to Disney history.

The Skipper Society is inspired by the Jungle Cruise, full of puns, hidden details, and nods to the classic Disney ride.

You can also enjoy a drink at the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea-themed Periscope Pub. The whole lounge is designed to make it seem like you’re on a submarine deep within the ocean. Yes, there is a periscope.

You might see some familiar sea creatures, too.

Of course, the most anticipated lounge on board the ship is the Haunted Mansion Parlor, which is bringing the 999 Happy Haunts to sea for the very first time.

There are so many details to take in here, and they’re all inspired by Haunted Mansion.

If you love Haunted Mansion, you’ll want to stay here forever.

Staterooms
The Disney Treasure will have a variety of staterooms, but we got to take a tour of the impressive Tomorrow Tower Suite, which is inspired by EPCOT. First, we have to sure this Figment detail in the kid’s bedroom, which has bunk beds.

This room gives off very EPCOT vibes.

The bathroom makes us think of Spaceship Earth.
