If you’re a runner and a Disney fan, there are plenty of events throughout the year that you’ll want to check out!
Multiple times a year, runDisney offers special themed race weekends in Disney World and Disneyland Resort, giving athletes the chance to visit the theme parks in the early hours of the morning as they strive to earn their medals. And if you’re already planning for next year’s events, we’ve got some big news.
It was just announced that the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend will return in 2025, and we can’t wait! For its second year, this race weekend will take place on September 4th-7th, 2025.
It features four days of events for a variety of skill levels — Kids Races, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Challenge. And of course, it’s all themed to the infamous Disney Villains!
There’s an Ursula-themed 5K, a Cruella de Vil-inspired 10K, and a Maleficent-focused Half Marathon. If you do all three, you’ll complete the Challenge and get a medal with Pain and Panic from Hercules.
And of course, we can’t forget the Kids Races — this year, they’re themed to Captain Hook from Peter Pan.
Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Member Registration will take place on November 26th, 2024. General registrations opens on December 3rd, no earlier than 7AM PT.
We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop as we learn more about this event, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest.
