2025 is quickly approaching, and you may be planning your vacations already for the new year!
Before you decide what hotel you’re going to stay at, what parks you’re visiting on what days, and the works, you’ll need to decide when you’re going. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds in the parks, you’ll want to avoid long holiday weekends, summertime as a whole, and fall break season, just to name a few. However, when you’ll want to avoid the crowds in Disney Springs is a little different since this is the resort’s shopping and dining district — while it doesn’t have any rides, it can certainly still get busy!
New Year’s Day (January 1st)
New Year’s Day is a very busy holiday across Disney World as a whole, because hey, who doesn’t want to spend the first day of the new year in Disney World?
Many families will choose to come into the district to grab a nice meal, see a movie at the AMC, or do some shopping to start off the new year.
Valentine’s Day (February 14th)
Ah, the day of love! Many couples will choose to spend the day (or part of it) in Disney Springs with a nice dining reservation.
That means you’ll want to make your dining reservations for this day WELL in advance, and you’ll also want to keep your eyes peeled for special snacks that are only available around this time of year.
St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th)
Similar to Valentine’s Day, many restaurants in Disney Springs will choose to have special dining options only available on St. Patrick’s Day or the weekend surrounding it.
This means a lot of locals especially will come in to grab dining reservations. While very few visiting families choose this time of year specifically, but dining reservations on this date will likely fill up fast.
Easter (April 20th)
It’s a similar situation for Easter too! However, more traveling families may choose to visit during this time since often many schools are off for a long weekend.
Again though, dining reservations are likely to go VERY fast for this date, so keep that in mind!
Cinco de Mayo (May 5th)
This holiday is often hit or miss in Disney Springs. In Disney World parks it isn’t often super busy, but special dining offerings in Disney Springs can make this a hard date to grab reservations for.
Now, if you’re not really interested in dining anywhere specific on this day, you’ll likely be just fine!
Mother’s Day (May 11th)
Many locals will take their mothers out to nice dinners on Mother’s Day, so again, watch out for those dining reservations.
You also may see the shopping areas busier as well, since who doesn’t love some shopping before or after your lunch/dinner reservation?
Father’s Day (June 15th)
Father’s Day will likely see an uptick in, you guessed it, dining reservations!
However out of all the dates on this list, this may be one of the lesser crowded ones, because many families may choose to just enter Disney Springs for their dining, and then hop out right after.
July 4th
July 4th is almost always crowded ALL OVER Disney World, and that includes Disney Springs!
In this case, dining reservations may NOT be the most popular option. Quick service dining locations may be more popular than table service reservations, and guests may be more excited to check out the special offerings available for this summer holiday.
Halloween (October 31st)
Halloween is a bit of a hit or miss holiday in Disney Springs, but it’s often quite crowded the entire week of this spooky holiday in the Disney World parks.
In this case, dining reservations likely aren’t too high on people’s radar, but grabbing special treats around the area likely is!
Thanksgiving (November 27th)
Now Thanksgiving on the other hand will be a MASSIVE day for dining reservations around the area, because many restaurants will offer special dining opportunities.
Many families choose to vacation for Thanksgiving in Disney World, and if they’re still looking for a Thanksgiving-style meal inside the Disney bubble, Disney Springs may be exactly where they head to.
Black Friday (November 28th)
On the opposite hand, Black Friday will likely be a HUGE shopping day in Disney Springs!
It does depend on how many deals are going on around Disney Springs, but if there’s a way to save on upcoming holiday gifts, many people will flock to the area to make it happen.
Christmas Eve (December 24th)
Christmas Eve lunch/dinners and last minute shopping are bound to be huge in Disney Springs.
Not to mention the exciting snacks you’ll be able to get around the area at this time, and all the decorations!
Christmas Day (December 25th)
And on actual Christmas Day, it’s tradition for a lot of families to have a nice meal, or some even go see a movie!
This is bound to be one of the busiest days of the whole year, so if you’re not a fan of crowds, you’ll likely want to stay far away!
New Year’s Eve (December 31st)
And last, but certainly not least, we have what’s likely going to be THE busiest day of the year in Disney Springs, because of all the events happening around the district.
