The countdown is ON!
After literal YEARS of sifting through leaks, construction photos, and official concept art, we’re on the precipice of FINALLY getting some concrete information on the highly-anticipated opening of Universal’s upcoming Epic Universe!
After a few days of heavy speculation about the park’s opening timeline, Universal dropped a BOMB on social media.
The company released a short clip on their X (formerly Twitter) account featuring a space background, ethereal music, and “10/17” (tomorrow’s date) coming into frame. The post was accompanied by a caption listing the date “10.17.24” along with a starburst emoji that’s been associated with the park’s Celestial Park area.

Universal also posted the same clip and caption on their Instagram account.
Universal could be announcing the specific on-sale date for Epic Universe tickets, the park’s opening date and timeline, or perhaps both. Of course, we don’t know for sure — but we have a feeling it’s going to be something BIG.
Universal’s Epic Universe, the third theme park at the Universal Orlando Resort, promises to be one of the most advanced theme parks in the world. The park, which features lands based on Harry Potter, Universal’s Monsters, Nintendo, and How To Train Your Dragon built around the massive Celestial Park, is scheduled to open in 2025.
