Just like the current passes that allow you to skip the line at several attractions, at Disney World, Premier Pass will do the same but it will only be available to guests staying at Deluxe and Deluxe Villas. Beginning October 30th, parkgoers who purchase the Premier Pass will be able to use it to skip the line at each participating attraction once per day.

At Disneyland, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will begin on October 23rd. Unlike Disney World’s Premier Pass, Disneyland’s will be available to anyone — on a first-come, first-served basis with limited availability.

Not only that, but those who purchase Premier Passes will be able to use them at Lightning Lanes in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure on the same day.

  1. I am glad that we are older and rides don’t mean that much to us anymore but this makes me angry for the younger families that have to pay so much more. Not fair

  2. Disney have become truly out of touch with families and regular people. The average family cannot afford these increases all the time. The prices are insane and as much as I love going to Disney we will never pay this on top of the air fare, ticket prices, hotels etc.

  3. If it is Disney intention of alienating their core fan base, they are certainly rapidly succeeding. Been going to Disney World since 1984. This new trend toward some kind of elitism- New resorts all Deluxe, thousands of dollars for a Star Wars charade, Genie +, Lightning Lanes and now this absurdity. Oh yeah -how about a new bakery that charges $20 plus dollars for a slice of cake.

  4. At first I thought this was some sort of joke until I realized it wasn’t April 1st. Does the price include a day’s admission to the park and a hotel stay?

  5. Can you clarify if any benefits to purchasing this other than being able to have lightning lanes for every ride and not having to schedule them? My daughter isn’t a huge rider so I’m not sure this will benefit us. Unless the actual lines would be even faster than buying regular lightning lane/genie system?

  6. This is even more ridiculous than all the other changes that costs. This is not attainable for the majority. I just want to throw my hands up and say I’m done!!!

  7. Would love to see a breakdown of what this would technically cost “per ride”! It seems expensive, but may be worth it if you thought how much it would cost if every ride was an individual lightning lane? Definitely interested to see how the new system plays out!
