So you’ve gone and done it: you’ve planned a trip to Disney World.

Maybe you’ve even got the trip all booked, picked out your tickets, planned your days, and even decided what to pack. But have you thought about the bag you’re actually bringing to the park? Well, before you decide what to do about that, you need to know about some very specific Disney World bag rules.

Okay, so let’s talk about Disney’s policy when it comes to bringing bags in the parks. First, all bags may be subject to security checks. You are also not allowed to bring in suitcases, bags, coolers, or backpacks larger than 24″ long x 15″ wide x 18″ high.Â

That means you’ll have to pay attention to just how big your park bag is. Now, we have our favorites, for sure, and yes, that includes Loungefly mini backpacks. For us, this size is PERFECT because they’re not so big to be a nuisance, but we can still fit a lot of stuff inside one, including all our parks essentials and a water bottle.
Get the Loungefly Disney Stickers Mini Backpack

Yes, there are a TON of Loungefly mini backpacks to choose from, but this one has a fun sticker pattern that just makes us smile. It’s got this whole vibrant color thing going on, too, so you can easily keep an eye on it when it’s not on your back. Plus the front pocket is handy for your phone, a small mobile charger (or maybe a FuelRod), or any small items you want to keep handy. We have this bag and we love it!
Buy the Mini Backpack Organizer

The only complaint we have about Loungefly bags is that they’re just kind of open on the inside with no organization. But you know what? This mini backpack organizer solves that problem — and again, this is something we use every day. This organizer has tons of pockets, slots, and more to help you keep track of all your stuff so you can find it easily when you need it. Even better? When you switch bags, you just pull out the organizer, with your stuff in it, and slide it into the new bag.
Buy the Petunia Pickle Bottom Meta Backpack

Okay, so maybe you need something bigger than a mini backpack. Or maybe you’re a mom who needs a diaper bag that’s also a backpack. Well, a lot of moms LOVE the Petunia Pickle Bottom bags for good reason: they come in fun Disney designs and they come with a diaper bag and coordinating, washable changing pad. It has a PEVA-lined front zippered pocket for snacks, insulated bottle pocket, padded tech pocket, and a felt-lined back pocket for a phone. This one is a must for those moms out there!
Get the Belt Bag

However, if you’re more of a minimalist, you might need something smaller and more hands-free. That’s why we love these belt bags because they’re the perfect size for a phone and any other small items you have and you can just strap them around your waist or over your shoulder and easily hang on to them. Even better? They’re under $7 each and come in a variety of colors and designs so you could get one to match every outfit you plan on wearing to the parks.
So be sure to think carefully about the park bag that’s right for you, keeping in mind that Disney has a very strict policy about the size of the bag you bring in the park. Make sure you’re aware of ALL of Disney’s property rules before your trip by reading the Park Rules portion of the Disney World website.

My favorite item is a neck wallet. It holds my cash, credit cards, writing pen, Disney maps, and my iPhone. I can put it on and forget it. Also, there’s no need for lockers at rides like Tron or Guardians of the Galaxy. The wallet stays securely anchored around my neck under my shirt.
Totally agree. This helped so much at Universal and Disney. Because even with a backpack or shoulder sling you can easily forget about zippering those
