FIRST LOOK: Disney Is Releasing a NEW 2,193-Piece LEGO Set Next Month

If you’ve been like us and waiting (not so) patiently for Lego advent calendars, the time has come!

Since releasing their first Star Wars sets in the late 1990s, LEGO has produced sets of construction bricks based on thousands of intellectual properties. Now, the legendary toymaker has revealed their latest upcoming Disney-inspired set, and it’s a MUST-get for fans of Halloween, Christmas, Tim Burton films, and Blink-182.

After a few days of teases, LEGO has unveiled a full Nightmare Before Christmas set as part of their LEGO Ideas range.

The large-scale diorama set will feature “connectible models of 3 iconic Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas locations – Spiral Hill, Jack Skellington’s house and the Halloween Town Hall. Revel in authentic details, such as the walking bathtub, a chalkboard in Jack’s house with his formula for Christmas and a lectern at the Town Hall where Jack gave his speech about Christmas.”

In addition, the set will include 8 LEGO mini-figures based on the film: Jack Skellington, Sally, Santa Claus, Lock, Shock and Barrel, Zero, and The Mayor figure with 2 faces.

The set, which would make a fantastic holiday decoration for either Halloween, Christmas, or both, will be available to order on September 6th, with LEGO Insider members receiving early access from September 3rd to September 5th. The 2,193-piece kit is scheduled to retail for $199.

The Nightmare Before Christmas set is part of LEGO’s Ideas program. According to LEGO, these fan-submitted creations are “uploaded to the LEGO Ideas site, where they are voted by fans. After reaching 10,000 votes, each set is reviewed by our LEGO designers and some become official sets! The LEGO Ideas sets range offers a selection of some of the most recognizable and realistic models available, reflecting all sorts of different interests. Complex recreations of classic video game levels sit alongside working digital musical instruments, while science lovers can dive in with models of space tech. There are exciting collectible options that are great for play too! Take a look at familiar sets from classic films and TV shows or build display models that will look great as part of a unique collection in your home or personal space. The challenging builds make these sets excellent gift ideas for 13-year-old teenagers and adult builders who love to tackle more advanced designs.”
