Disney Announces NEW 'Spider-Man' Roller Coaster

Disney did NOT disappoint at Horizons — D23 Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event!

On August 10th, Disney dropped some HUGE parks, cruise line, and gaming news! The Disney experiences showcase presented new lands, nighttime entertainment, ships, and so much more. There was news for the U.S. theme parks as well as the international parks. Speaking of international parks, Shanghai Disney got some pretty SUPER news of its own!

Earlier this year, a big new attraction was announced for Shanghai Disneyland. This new attraction was planned to be located adjacent to the new Zootopia land, but no other details were released.

Now, at the Horizons showcase, Disney announced NEW details about this ride! This big new ride is set to become the first major Marvel attraction in Shanghai Disneyland. It will be a new Spider-Man-themed roller coaster!

Guests will soon be able to experience an all-new Spider-Man-themed coaster coming to Shanghai Disneyland.

This will be a high-energy thrill coaster that takes you on a “high-speed, fully immersive experience.” You’ll follow Spider-Man, who has gotten himself into a bit of a tight spot, to help get him out of trouble.

This ride will bring all the excitement of a Marvel movie to Shanghai Disney Resort! The initial construction preparation for the new ride began earlier this year. We can’t wait to ride this new, exciting roller coaster!
