Forget Happy Meal Toys — This Is the McDonald's News We've All Been Waiting For

McDonald’s just loves keeping us on our toes with all sorts of cryptic text messages and posts online.

But, to be honest — it kind of makes us feel like Nic Cage in National Treasure, so we’re certainly not complaining. It looks like McDonald’s is at it again with even more sketchy DMs about their latest drop!

McDonald’s slid into our DMs yet again to drop a hint about something exciting and NEW coming soon. We got a text with a picture of a little McNugget Buddy asking if we had any hints — so of course, we started speculating wildly.

At first, we thought it was potentially another McNugget Buddy promotion a la the recent Kerwin Frost Box that featured the iconic toys. But then, the REAL news was revealed and if we’re being honest — it might be even BETTER!

The Collector’s Meal is dropping at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide on August 13th! Depending on when you visit, you’ll be able to snag a collectible cup with the purchase of either a combo meal that includes a Sausage Egg McMuffin, Hash Brown, and coffee or a combo meal with a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or Big Mac with fries and a drink.

There will be six different, limited-edition cups inspired by the iconic ones McDonald’s used to give away with certain promotions back in the day. Each cup features designs inspired by iconic McDonald’s collectibles throughout history.
