Disney Announces NEW Villains-Themed Parade Coming in October!

Halloween feels like it’s right around the corner and we couldn’t be more excited!

Magic Kingdom during Halloween (2023)

Yes, we know Halloween isn’t actually until the end of October, but the Disney parks start celebrating it early so more guests can experience the celebration during their vacation. We’ll likely start seeing decorations soon in Disney World since Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts on August 9th, but Disney just announced an amazing NEW Halloween parade coming to Tokyo Disneyland that we’re VERY jealous of!

Tokyo Disneyland has just announced that a new parade called “The Villains’ Halloween ‘Into the Frenzy'” will be arriving in Tokyo Disneyland later this year! Yes, as it sounds, this parade is ALL about the villains!

At the beginning of the 45-minute parade, Dr. Facilier will welcome guests to the show before Maleficent and Jafar will “captivate viewers with their spellbinding performances.” Unlike parades in the U.S. Disney parks, this parade will stop in multiple places, the Westernland and Fantasyland area, the Plaza, and in the Tomorrowland and Toontown area. When stopped, the party will really begin with more villains, Mickey Mouse, and flames/smoke! The show will reach a spectacular finale that we can’t wait to see! The Halloween season runs from October 1st through November 7th at Tokyo Disney.

While we’re super excited to see this new parade, we also can’t forget about the other Halloween offerings coming to Tokyo Disneyland Resort! Starting September 1st, a brand new menu inspired by Disney Villains, as well as dishes that capture the essence of Halloween, will begin being served at Eastside Cafe (where the set is inspired by Maleficent) and the Plaza Pavilion Restaurant (where the set is inspired by The Evil Queen.)

You’ll also be able to see Halloween decorations such as a Halloween-themed Mickey Flower Bed, Villains-themed banners around Cinderella Castle, and so much more! Starting September 19th, Haunted Mansion will also get a Halloween overlay called Haunted Mansion “Holiday
Nightmare” inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Over at Tokyo DisneySea, you’ll also be able to see the “Disney Halloween Greeting” again, where you’ll see Mickey and his friends float by on a boat, dressed in Halloween attire as they carry sweets and large pumpkins. Starting September 1st, special Halloween dining options will be available here too, such as the Halloween Sundae at Liberty Landing Diner and the Pumpkin Gnocchi Gratin at Food Truck (Blue) at Waterfront Park. And of course, Halloween decorations will cover parts of the park as well.

You’ll also be able to experience “Halloween Fair in New York” once again over in the New York area of American Waterfront! This is where guests can experience a lively Halloween celebration all day long, and watch as it takes on a spookier and more mysterious air at night. And if guests say “Trick or Treat!” to Cast Members carrying jack-o’-lantern-inspired buckets at night, they’ll receive candy!

A fantastic fireworks show called Night High Halloween will also happen nightly, and guests can purchase special Halloween merchandise starting September 19th.
