An unlikely duo has teamed up for a new limited-time show in Disneyland Resort!

Deadpool & Wolverine premiered in theaters on Friday, July 26th. And Marvel’s newest odd couple is celebrating the release in a BIG way at Disney California Adventure!
Both Deadpool and Wolverine are known for being more “adult” than Disney typically skews — especially Deadpool with his famously R-rated movies. Considering their reputation, we initially weren’t sure whether they would be a natural fit for the Disney parks. But after seeing it play out, we’re so glad that it finally happened!

Disney California Adventure has introduced a new, limited-time show: ‘Story Time with Deadpool’. In the announcement for the show, Disney said, “From his favorite cozy reading chair, guests can join Deadpool as he reads from his big book of super special stories. These family-friendly tales delight, charm, and inspire in the way only Deadpool can. And keep an eye out for Wolverine who may be dropping by ‘Story Time with Deadpool.’”

We were super intrigued to see how these family-friendly stories would play out, so we stopped by the new show to see it for ourselves and were definitely not disappointed!

The show was 12 minutes long and it included lots of Marvel and Disney jokes, but everything was kept kid-friendly as promised. We thought it was funny and entertaining, and Wolverine did in fact end up making an appearance!

There was a big crowd for the show, so we recommend getting there about 45 minutes early if you want to get a good spot. People at the front of the crowd were asked to take a seat about 10 minutes before showtime, but those in the back were allowed to stand. With that in mind, if you’re okay with standing and not being as close, you should still be able to get a decent view if you get there about 15 minutes before showtime.
