Things are getting exciting for Disney’s streaming services.

In May 2024, Disney Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery announced a brand new streaming service bundle that would debut soon. They called it a first-of-its-kind offering, and now we know exactly what that offering is and how much it will cost.

The new bundle is a combination of Disney+, Hulu, AND Max, which will bring two competing services together for the first time under one subscription. The bundle will give you access to all three services through one subscription. It will also save you money over subscribing to all three streaming services separately.

Speaking of money, we also now know how much this new bundle will cost and it’s about 38% less than what you would pay if you subscribed to the services separately. Disney+, Hulu, and Max with ads will be $16.99 per month. The ad-free version of the bundle is $29.99 per month. And you can sign up for the bundle right now!

This is kind of a no-brainer if you already subscribe to all three services. Granted, Disney+ and Hulu have been available together as a bundle for a while, as both are owned by Disney. However, adding Max to the list offers something new. This could mean that we’ll see more bundles like this in the future.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? One of the biggest complaints about cable television was having to buy packages with channels you didn’t want. However, with these streaming bundles, you still have a choice to subscribe to each of these services individually if you want. It will be interesting to see how this changes the streaming subscription game.

However, you can probably count on Netflix not getting involved with any kind of streaming bundles like this. According to Deadline, Netflix has shot down the idea as something the company would not be interested in doing. Netflix recently stated in a letter to investors:

“We haven’t bundled Netflix solely with other streamers like Disney+ or Max because Netflix already operates as a go-to destination for entertainment thanks to the breadth and variety of our slate and superior product experience. This has driven industry leading penetration, engagement and retention for us, which limits the benefit to Netflix of bundling directly with other streamers.”

Meanwhile, Disney has also partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery for a sports streaming service that would include content from Fox, ESPN, and Warner Bros. Discovery.
