It Might Be a LOT Harder Than We Thought To Visit Epic Universe When It Opens

Universal Studios is doing a GREAT job of getting us all excited for its new theme park, Epic Universe, opening in 2025.

Every time a new announcement comes out, we get even more eager for its opening. It may not be opening for many months from now, but our anticipation is skyrocketing. For quite a while, we were waiting to hear about tickets to this brand new theme park, and Universal has taken their time giving us any information. While ticket info isn’t yet on the Universal website, some details have been given out, and we’re a bit concerned about how challenging it might actually be to visit this new theme park when the time does come.

Epic Universe has been undergoing construction of its five lands. You’ll begin your adventure in Celestial Park and from there choose where you head to next — Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic.

We’ve been keeping up with all the new details released by Universal as well as on all the construction updates as the lands begin taking form. We certainly can’t wait for opening day, and we’re guessing you feel the same way. However, the new ticket information provided by Universal has left with some doubts.

Tickets will be sold by sales partners and these tickets must be bought as a “multi-day Orlando ticket package with a three-day minimum.” These only allow for one day at Epic Universe and will not include park-hopping to or from the new park. When tickets launch, there will be no option to purchase a stand-alone, single-day ticket to Epic Universe.

However, additional ticket options will be announced including for Annual Passholders.

Vice President of Public Relations for Universal, Alyson Sologaistoa, stated, “We are introducing products in a phased approach starting with multi-day ticket packages that include an opportunity to visit Epic Universe in addition to the entire Universal Orlando Resort for those planning vacations further out.”

This is likely to control the crowd as the theme park will likely be in high demand.

This means that with high crowds expected to be visiting the theme park, it may be that much more difficult to visit it ourselves and to enjoy it without having incredibly long lines everywhere we go. It also means that with this current package deal that has been announced, we will have only one day to visit Epic Universe.

Until the crowds die down upon the initial opening, ticket packages may only allow you to visit one day and crowds may hinder a lot of the experiences. Since Universal has stated that more ticket options will be announced, it is possible that different packages allowing for more access to Epic Universe could become available. For now, though, this one package is all we know about.
