It’s a debate as old as time — Disney World vs. Universal Orlando. But why choose?
Many locals and theme park fans actually have Annual Passes to both, and there are certainly perks to buying those instead of tickets. Theme park Annual Passes come with discounts on food, merchandise, hotels, and more and include exclusive experiences like private lounges in the parks. If you have an Annual Pass at Universal, there are some exciting things coming your way. Let’s get into it!
Universal Orlando recently released a new video teasing the return of Passholder Appreciation Days and Nights! That’s right, they’re coming back for 2024!

First of all, we now have dates for Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Appreciation Days! These will take place from August 15th to September 30th, 2024.
Universal has not revealed the full details just yet but says to stay tuned for more soon. Last year, appreciation days included an exclusive entrance to the park, a discount on Express Pass, special discounts at certain areas of the park, Passholder-only food, and so much more.
Universal also announced Annual Passholder Nights which will take place on August 16th and 17th, 2024. Again, Universal has not released many details about this event…but they did mention when you’ll be able to sign up.
To score a spot at Passholder Nights, you’ll want to mark your calendars for July 24th after 11AM. It will likely be online or through the app, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details!
In the meantime, there’s a LOT going on a Universal. The parks just debuted a ton of new offerings including the grand opening of the new DreamWorks Land, a nighttime spectacular, a projection show at Hogwarts Castle in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and more. Plus, a new parade will debut on July 3rd.
