Okay, well, it’s not QUITE time to get ready for the 2024 runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas event, but we’ve spent a lot of time recently looking ahead to the holidays, so why stop now? If you’re planning on participating in this event, though, we just got a first look at the medals, and they may be our favorite runDisney event medals of all time.

As the title suggests, the runDisney Virtual 12Ks of Christmas is themed to the holidays and will happen from December 1st through 31st. If you’d like to run at home (or anywhere else), you can register for the race, and get some pretty sweet medals when you finish.

Now, we previously learned that the medals would be shaped like Mickey ear hats and that they would double as ornaments. How cool is that? Well, now we’ve got our first good look at the finisher medals you could win. There’s a Virtual 4K medal featuring Donald and Daisy.

If you’ve never done a virtual runDisney race before, you’ll need to register (which starts on July 9th at 10AM ET) and pay the $267 registration fee (which includes a 6.6% platform service fee). Once you’re registered, wait until December 1st, and then start running. You’ll also get some freebies for participating, including a long-sleeved hooded shirt, a holiday Corkcicle, a box of Twinings holiday blend tea, a digital bib, a finisher certificate, and a digital race tool kit with printable mile markers.

Then, of course, you’ll get these fun medals for every event you complete after the event is completed. Note that once you pay the registration fee, it is non-transferable. All members of your family are welcome to participate, as long as they are five years or older. You’ll be responsible for tracking your own times and completion is based on the honor system. Once you’re finished, you can visit the runDisney finisher website to submit your time and download your digital race certificate.

So if you want to grab one of these fun medals, be sure to register for the event!
