In addition, each of the toys are made up of interchangeable halves, meaning that the tops and bottoms can be swapped between them, creating a litany of costume and character combinations.

Furthermore, each toy comes with a “Mission Card” that can be used to access content that’s part of the Save the Smiles game on the McDonald’s App.

The film, the overall sixth in the franchise, is co-directed by Chris Renaud and Patrick Delage, written by Mike White and Ken Daurio, and features a cast mixing veterans of the franchise with newcomers including Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Miranda Cosgrove, Stephen Colbert, Steve Coogan, Sofía Vergara, Renaud, Madison Polan, Dana Gaier, Chloe Fineman, and Will Ferrell. Heitor Pereira and Pharrell Williams also returned to work on the film’s music, including the score as well as original songs.
