My job description is pretty unique. Every day looks a little different, but most days, you can find me conducting bed science at a Disney hotel, trying to see how much you can really do in the parks in one day, or sharing my honest thoughts on Disney food.  I go to Disney World a LOT (and even visit some of Disney’s international parks!), but it’s all to help YOU have a better vacation.Â

If there’s one thing I’ve gotten comfortable with after all this time in Disney World, it’s how to review a hotel room. I know what little details make a room extra special. I know which resorts have plenty of counter space (and which ones don’t). I even know what kinds of pillows and sheets are the softest. Today, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about Disney beds after visiting EVERY hotel. My findings may surprise you!
There are four things I’ve noticed about pretty much every Disney hotel. Keep in mind that every hotel has its pros and cons, and there’s no “one size fits all” resort that works for every family. I highly encourage you to check out our room tours on our YouTube channel before your trip!
Go Big or Go Home
When you’re on vacation, you may need to share your bed with someone else. Most standard Disney World hotel rooms come with two Queen-Size beds. But you can also book certain rooms with King-Size beds, and let me tell you, those are the BEST.

In my experience, the mattresses on a King-Size bed are plush and high-quality, and you get a TON of pillows. If you’re like me, you might also use all those extra pillows to make a pillow nest like a cozy lil bird. Take it from a hotel expert — the pillow nest is where it’s at.

Make sure to read those room descriptions carefully when you’re booking your room. Many Disney World hotels offer a King bed option, but there’s a catch. Many of those rooms with a King bed only sleep two people. You can find an extra day bed with that nice, big King bed at:
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn

But like I said, make sure to read those descriptions carefully when you book a room!

Some hotels may have several room categories, so look for suites with “One King Bed and One Day Bed” or “One King Bed and One Queen-Size Sleeper Sofa” if you’re traveling with more than one other person but still want that King bed.
Deluxe Resorts
This is very important, so listen up. If you’re looking for a hotel with nice, cozy sheets, you’re going to want to focus on those Deluxe Resorts.

I’ve noticed that Deluxe hotels tend to have higher-quality-feeling sheets. To be fair, I can’t really do a direct side-by-side comparison, but nearly all my experiences with Deluxe rooms — and the sheets, specifically — have been positive.

My personal favorites are the beds at:
- Wilderness Lodge
- Grand Floridian Resort
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
I also love the overall vibes at all of these resorts, which may have influenced my decision. But either way, these hotel rooms are VERY nice, and thanks to my very official Bed Scienceâ„¢, I can confirm that the beds at these resorts will provide a great night’s rest.

Honestly, between how I feel under those sheets and the general room designs at those Deluxe Resorts, there’s something special about those fancier rooms. I said what I said.
The WINNER
OK, the moment you’ve been waiting for: which Disney hotel has the BEST bed? My absolute top choice is the Swan and Dolphin Hotel. The rooms here use the Westin Heavenly Bed — featuring a pillow-top mattress, a white goose-down comforter, and four overstuffed pillows. They are SO comfortable.

If you want the full details behind the Westin Heavenly Bed, I’ll drop some for you below.
- Reinforced, pocketed coil technology that distributes weight for even support
- Layers of temperature-regulating gel-infused foam that stimulate airflow and rest atop individually Pocketed Coils to relieve pressure points and reduce motion transfer
- Innovative silver fiber weave delivers natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties while pulling heat away from your body, keeping you cool and comfortable all night long
So yes, after you walk back from EPCOT after a long park day, you can get an amazing night’s sleep.
Another Winner Because I’m Cheating
We can’t talk about the best beds in Disney World and ignore the Four Seasons Orlando. It’s on Disney property, so I’m counting it on this list.

Obviously, this luxury spot has insanely comfortable beds. I would put it on par with the Westin Heavenly. Plus, you can request some special customizations for your room, like a WHOLE MATTRESS TOPPER or a BODY PILLOW. You can even request pillows of varying firmness, depending on what you like. Yeah, it’s VERY fancy.

If you’re looking for a travel agent to help with your vacation, we recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!

In the meantime, you can catch me on YouTube for more hotel room tours and reviews, so stay tuned for more.
