Okay Disney, Does This Celebrity Visit Mean What We Think It Means?!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening this summer in Disney World, and later this year in Disneyland!

The new ride picks up where The Princess and the Frog left off and follows Princess Tiana as she embarks on her biggest journey yet — running a restaurant and food company! We’ve been following construction progress, but there’s still one question Disney hasn’t answered yet…

We’re getting closer and closer to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! This new attraction will bring The Princess and the Frog to both Disney World and Disneyland, and we’ve been keeping up with all the exciting progress. Magic Kingdom’s version of the ride is slated to open this summer and we’ve been waiting for an official opening date for a while.

And, although it looks like Disney is keeping that opening date to themselves for now, we did get something exciting — an unexpected visit from one of the voice actors from The Princess and the Frog!

That’s right — Jennifer Cody, who voiced Charlotte “Lottie” La Bouff in the movie stopped by Disney World’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort for some beignets and we certainly don’t blame her!

The only thing we want to know, though, is whether or not this means we’ll be getting a Tiana’s Palace restaurant in Magic Kingdom. As of now, no announcements have been made but we think it only makes sense. Disneyland has its own Tiana’s Palace with Cajun- and Creole-inspired dishes and of course, beignets! How can you have a Tiana ride in Magic Kingdom without beignets nearby?!
