Now that we’ve got more details about Universal Orlando’s NEW Epic Universe park, we can see how it will live up to its “epic” name.

Epic Universe will be Universal Orlando’s FOURTH park and will have five themed lands, including a land based on a brand-new and original concept. There will be a ton of new rides, new places to eat, and more. Now, Epic Universe also has a HUGE compliment it can share from one of Hollywood’s biggest directors.
Epic Universe’s five lands will have entrances that resemble portals so that when you enter a land, it feels like you’ve stepped through a portal to another universe. Each land has its own theme, and the five themes are Harry Potter and the Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Celestial Park.

Director Steven Spielberg is already a fan, which makes sense as he’s worked with Universal on creating attractions in the past. He’s still a big inspiration for Universe. According to NBC, he said, “Epic is built on an amazing concept. The idea you can go into a world through a portal and come out in a world you could never dream of and experience it. Will feed the imagination of all ages.”

We agree that the portal idea is unique and brings these five land concepts together in a cohesive way. We’re also super excited about Celestial Park, Universal’s original land, which will also act as the grand entrance to the rest of the park. It’s being created as a “world between worlds” where the energy of the universe is being harnessed to create the portals to the other lands. That sounds pretty brilliant, right?

We still have some time, though, before Epic Universe is ready for guests. We’ll be there in 2025 when it opens, though!
