We are sad to report the passing of actor Carl Weathers.
The actor passed away at the age of 76 on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. He was featured in the Disney+ show The Mandalorian
His family released a statement saying, “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Carl Weathers. He died peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, February 1st, 2024. … Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life. Through his contributions to film, television, the arts and sports, he has left an indelible mark and is recognized worldwide and across generations. He was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, partner, and friend.”
Although The Mandalorian was one of his most recent projects, Weathers is known for many other roles including playing Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky movies. He also appeared in Happy Gilmore, Predator, and many other films.
Our thoughts are with Weathers’ family and loved ones during this time.
