Stay calm — it’s happening! Disneyland Resort’s Annual Pass program, known as Magic Key, has been unavailable to purchase for a while after sales were paused in 2023. Although guests could renew their existing Annual Passes, new Magic Key Pass sales were on hold — until NOW!
That’s right — Magic Key Pass sales resumed on January 10th, 2024. How does the process work, and what do you need to know before you purchase a Magic Key Pass? Come with us to find out!
The virtual queue to purchase a Magic Key Pass opened at 9AM PST on January 10th, 2024. At this time, all four tiers of Magic Key Passes became available to purchase.
Here’s a look at the pricing breakdown for each pass.
- Inspire Key: $1,649
- Believe Key: $1,249
- Enchant Key: $849
- Imagine Key: $499
When the virtual queue opened, some users noticed an error on the Disneyland website. The Disneyland Magic Key webpage stated, “We apologize for the temporary inconvenience, but the site is not currently available. Please check back in a few minutes.”
Those who could enter the virtual queue received a message alerting them that they had been added to the queue, though for now, it seems that the virtual queue is not moving.
At this time, the best way to enter the website and avoid that error screen is to go to disneyland.disney.go.com/passes.
Some of the Magic Key Pass benefits include park admission, park hopping privileges, 20% off Disney Genie+, 10-20% off merchandise, 10-15% off dining, and discounted or free parking, depending on the pass.
Disney has not stated exactly how long Magic Key Passes will be available to purchase, so if you’re interested in becoming a Disneyland Annual Passholder, we recommend hopping on the Disneyland website as soon as possible.
UPDATE:
On January 10th, guests at Disneyland Resort were spotted waiting in an hours-long line to purchase Magic Key Passes.
According to a Cast Member, the wait time to purchase a Magic Key Pass from the ticket booths reached five hours.

Unfortunately they stopped selling new passes just before 6pm EST. They are only selling the one for locals or doing renewals. I was in the queue all day and couldn’t snag one.
