If you’re a longtime Disney fan, then there’s a good chance that you’ve attended or have at least heard of Candlelight Processional.
This retelling of the Biblical Christmas Story takes place each holiday season at EPCOT and at Disneyland, and even at Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii! Yep, let’s check it out!
Disney shared some great information on “He Mo‘olelo Hemolele: A Story of Faith, Hope & Aloha,” which is Aulani’s take on Candlelight Processional. This version is culturally-specific to Hawaii, and features hula, Hawaiian chants, storytelling, and song.
This limited-time experience allowed Cast Members and volunteers across the resort to celebrate the holiday season and tell the Christmas story in a way that is distinctly Hawaiian — allowing visitors to experience something truly unique and also enlightening when it comes to Hawaiian culture.
Not only could visitors experience He Mo’olelo Hemolele, but Aulani is decked out in Christmas decor AND holiday treats!
Wow… Maybe next year the “white Christmas” we’ll be having will be on Aulani’s white sand beaches! We can dream. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along so that you’re always in the loop.
