NEWS: Tropical Storm-Like Weather Has CANCELED Jollywood Nights in Disney World Tonight

Isn’t it just the worst when the weather foils your plans?!

The weather in Florida is sure good at putting a damper (pun intended) on your Disney trip. When Mother Nature rains in Florida, she POURS. And this week it looks like Orlando will be getting hit with some horrible weather. Here’s how it could be affecting your evening tonight, December 16th!

A storm system has been developing in the Gulf of Mexico and news sources are saying, it’s likely to bring tropical storm-like conditions to Florida between December 16th and 17th. And now, it seems it is officially impacting Disney World.

We have been notified that Jollywood Nights in Hollywood Studios on December 16th has been cancelled due to weather.

In the notification, it states that refunds will be issued automatically for the event. We stopped by guest relations for more clarification and they let us know that if you purchased your Jollywood Nights tickets from a third party, you can stop by any guest relations on the property to have your refund processed there.

The Cast Member also let us know that anyone who had tickets for the canceled event will have priority booking for the upcoming events on Monday, December 18th and Wednesday, December 20th. You can rebook with priority at any guest relations. They did mention that Monday is looking like the night with the most availability.

The guest relations Cast Member also confirmed that the party is being canceled tonight because most of it is outdoors (which makes sense with the amount of rain expected). The refunds began being issued at 12 ET, but you can expect the funds to be back on whatever form of payment you used (i.e. gift card, credit card, etc.) in an hour or so.

Unfortunately, you never know what the weather is going to do in Disney World. We hope you can still find fun and excitement on your weekend in the Happiest Place on Earth!

We suggest a hotel crawl if you can’t do the parks in the rain! The hotels are just as festive as the parks this time of year and can pass the time in the most merry kind of way.
