Disney Reveals NEW Details About the Upcoming ‘Zootopia’ Land!

Okay. The Disney Parks in China keep getting ALL the cool stuff!

Hoo hoo!

On November 20th, Hong Kong Disneyland opened the world’s first-ever Frozen-themed land, and on December 20th, Shanghai Disneyland will open the world’s first-ever Zootopia-themed land! Seriously, we’re super jealous that we can’t visit these whenever we want. Now, we’re even more jealous as Disney has revealed even MORE details on the new Zootopia land!

First, Disney shared a glimpse at just how immersive this experience is. It looks just like the movie with buildings, road signs, and “places like Zootopia Transit Authority, located near the civic plaza of Zootopia, which features a new “hyper-tube” used by lemmings on their way to and from work at Lemming Brothers Bank and other businesses.”

Next, we got a glimpse of some of the characters we can expect to see! The Audio-Animatronics were created in close collaboration with the Walt Disney Animation Studios. You can expect to see characters like Officer Clawhauser and Chief Bogo, as well as Nick and Judy, of course.

Lastly, here’s a glimpse at the all-new ride that will be in the land: Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. This ride uses a combination of Audio-Animatronics and a trackless design to truly immerse visitors into the world of Zootopia. Disney said, “From sliding across the ice of Tundratown and flying off the track onto the busy streets of Sahara Square, to plummeting from the canopies in a gondola in the Rainforest District, each scene will keep you guessing what’s next, with unexpected turns, spins, slides and drops that bring the story to life!”
