Orlando Airport has been facing a lot of issues over the past few days.
Spirit Airlines has had to pull many of its planes for inspections, resulting in multiple canceled flights over the past few days. It seems the cancelations are continuing into Sunday, October 22nd.
On October 22nd, Spirit Airlines canceled 29 flights in and out of Orlando International Airport, according to flight tracking service FlightAware.
Spirit has the most reported cancelations in and out of the airport as inspections continue on the airline’s planes. The airline said it would “perform a necessary inspection of a small section of 25 of our aircraft,” and it was taking the step to inspect its planes “out of an abundance of caution,” per NBC News.
Spirit noted travelers with upcoming scheduled flights should watch their email and the Spirit website or app before visiting the airport. The airline canceled nearly 100 flights on Friday, October 20th, and the disruptions continued on October 21st with 20+ more cancelations. This is the third consecutive day that Spirit customers are facing mass cancelations.
At this time, Spirit has not shared any end date for these plane inspections, so it’s possible these disruptions could continue for the next few days.

Are you planning to fly Spirit soon? Tell us in the comments!
I will never fly Spirit again after they cancelled a flight home a few years ago and said they might be able to get me in ine in a couple days… I had to be at work in a couple days. I would rather have to save longer to be able to take a more reliable airline. Same with Frontier- never again.
