It’s been a pretty big year for Disney World.

TRON Lightcycle / Run and Journey of Water Inspired by Moana have officially opened, perks are returning, and we learned a bit more about how the Disney parks are doing overall. But, this isn’t the only exciting news on the horizon!
We keep an eye on the latest permits filed by Disney around the parks and hotels to get an idea of what sort of work might be going on. Here’s a look at some of the most interesting ones we’ve found lately!
Magic Kingdom
Frontierland is getting an updated ride with the transformation of Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but that’s not the only refreshing happening in the land. A recently filed permit indicates that some work may be going on at Fort Langhorn on the island.

Another permit also seems to match up with work being done on Harper’s Mill, so we may soon see some updated parts of this spot. Unfortunately, the permits are only listed as “general construction,” so this work could really be for anything. We’ll keep an eye out for more!
EPCOT
In EPCOT, we spotted a new permit filed by Disney Imagineering to “install signage” at an area that seems to match up with The Land Pavilion. Imagineering permits usually have something to do with upgrading something that guests typically see, but we’re unsure as to what sort of signage Disney might be installing.

Another permit to install signs in EPCOT was recently filed, and from what we can tell it looks like it may be for a festival booth, but we’re not sure which one. It’s listed as “Kiosk Site #11” on the map software we use to figure out where these permits are in Disney World, but we’ll be looking for updates.

EPCOT is going through a pretty big transformation, but the recently filed permits we found appear to be for some pretty minor work.
But Wait, There’s More!
We also found several permits for work being done over at Blizzard Beach Water Park, so it looks like there is still quite a bit of refurbishment happening over there. Disney hasn’t shared a projected opening date for when this park may reopen, but we’ll keep an eye out for more updates.

And, since a handful of Disney World hotels are going through refurbishments right now, it makes sense that we’d see lots of general construction permits that were recently filed. There’s work going on at the Caribbean Beach Resort, the BoardWalk Inn, and more. You can read more about the changes happening at Disney World hotels right here!

We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more permits that could signal Disney World changes, so stay tuned to AllEars for more.
