Here at AllEars, we’re constantly on the lookout for our next vacation destination!

If you’ve been here for a while, then you know we spend a lot of time at the Disney World and Universal Orlando parks, but we’re happy to branch out (we’ve even done some cruising recently!). So when we heard that there’s a NEW theme park coming soon from former Disney Imagineers, we were absolutely intrigued. And now we’re here to share all the details!
Coming soon to Vinita, Oklahoma is the American Heartland Theme Park, which is set to open in the fall of 2026. According to the website for the project, “American Heartland is a $2 billion theme park and resort development in northeast Oklahoma. The 1,000-acre resort destination is expected to attract more than 4.9 million guests per year to Oklahoma.”

The park will be located just west of Grand Lake on Route 66. According to Gene Bicknell, founder and Chief Creative Officer, “The development will be built in phases starting with a large-scale RV park with cabins, a film and television studio and a world-class theme park and resort. The American Heartland Theme Park will offer a visitor experience rivaling the world’s top resort destinations.”

The project is spearheaded by Mansion Entertainment Group, with Larry Wilhite as its CEO. American Heartland Theme Park’s creative team has a combined total of more than 500 years of Disney and entertainment industry work experience. The team includes former Disney Imagineers, former Walt Disney Entertainment executives, and multiple people who worked in creative, operations, or concept and planning capacities for Disney.

On the website for the project, Mansion Entertainment Group has already shared concept art, as well as details on each of the different “lands” around the park. They are as follows:
- Liberty Village
- Great Plains
- Bayou Bay
- Big Timber Falls
- Stony Point Harbor
- Electropolis

There will also be a 4-star hotel and water park on the property. If you’re coming to camp, you can stay at the Three Ponies RV Park & Campground as well.

We’re definitely interested to learn more about this project as it develops. Stay tuned to AllEars for the latest theme park news and updates on your favorite vacation destinations!

FORMER Imagineers. Important distinction
This is great news. I am hoping for suitable options to Disney. They have lost their magic at the current moment . I hope this is successful and thrives. Great to have another rplace to escape reality na politics.
