Oogie Boogie Bash is returning to Disneyland Resort in 2023 and we are ready to get our frightful fun on!

Tickets for this event are officially on sale to everyone, but a select group of folks got to grab their tickets early. Pre-sale tickets quickly sold out, and now that tickets are on sale to the general public — there’s another problem you might run into.
Oogie Boogie Bash tickets are officially on sale! We hopped in the queue to check it all out, and surprise, surprise — we had quite a lengthy wait.

And then, after we had waited for about an hour, our screen updated, but not exactly in the way we hoped. Instead, Oogie Boogie informed us that ticket sales had been paused.

Oogie Boogie Bash is a popular event at Disney California Adventure, and tickets do tend to sell out. Magic Key Holders were able to purchase tickets early, but those have already sold out as well.
Disney did note that ticket sales will resume, but didn’t give any indication of when that might be, so for now, we’ll just have to wait. It’s possible that the system couldn’t handle the number of people trying to get tickets at once.

To keep your spot in the queue, make sure you keep the tab open in your browser and stay connected to the Internet! We’ll be sure to update you once ticket sales resume, so keep checking back for more.
UPDATE:Â Disney has now updated the waiting room with a message that a technical issue had caused ticket sales to be temporarily paused, but that teams are working to fix it. So, just sit tight and try to be patient!

UPDATE: One of our team members was able to open the Oogie Boogie Bash webpage on a separate browser, bypass the queue, and successfully buy their tickets. They used Microsoft Edge and were NOT logged into their Disney account before visiting the page. Other members of our team tried to open the page on Google Chrome and Safari only to be put in the virtual queue with the same error message noted above.
We can’t guarantee that opening it up in a new browser will fix things, so you’ll want to keep the page with your queue spot open if you test this, but it might be something to consider.

I read a hack somewhere that if you hop off WiFi, you can buy Oogie Boogie 23 tickets right now. I tried it and it worked! No waiting – just bought them.
I started to purchase tickets at 9 AM and I was able to input how many tickets I wanted but when I clicked to check out, I was asked to sign in and start the whole process over. I have two accounts and for each account I was able to add tickets but when I checked out, the website kicked me out. Did anyone else have any issues with acquiring tickets but after clicking check out, you were asked to sign in? Thanks.
YES, we got tickets fortunately when the sale started for general public. WE were in the waiting room and moved to the queue at 9. Both my son and I were trying, I had over an hour wait but he got ONE MINUTE wait and within 10 minutes the tickets were in his app. So lucky!! At that time I also got the message that ticket sales had been paused. I have read on another site that people started to try and get them through the app and it worked, they kept trying and ended up with tickets when the message online was still saying ticket sales paused.
According to my facebook group, sadly some people are managing to get in to get tickets, even though the rest of us show they are paused. So frustrating.
I was in the queue for less than 10 minutes before ticket sales paused.
