If You Need Us, We’ll Be Booking a Trip to Disney’s New ‘Frozen’ Land STAT

If you’ve got “Frozen fever”  this news is for you.

World of Frozen concept art

We’ve recently learned the opening timeline for the new Frozen- inspired land coming to Disney parks and Bob Iger has even traveled over to check on its progress in person recently. But now, we’re getting another visual peek into what will be in store for visitors when it opens.

World of Frozen, the new Frozen-inspired land at Hong Kong Disneyland is slated to open in November 2023. Imagineers will feature elements from both the Frozen and Frozen 2 movies with a “Summer Snow Day celebration commemorating the day that Anna saved Elsa with an act of true love.” Now that Elsa has learned to accept herself — and her incredible ice powers — the once eternal winter is now gone from Arendalle and we’re all invited to join them as they throw open the palace gates.

To celebrate in anticipation of the official opening, Disney Imagineers are sharing a first look worth melting for featuring ALL-NEW concept artwork for two themed attractions, dining, and shopping experiences that look as though they’ve hopped straight out of the films. Let’s start off with a look at something that might already be familiar to Frozen fans.

We already knew to expect a version of Frozen Ever After in World of Frozen but now we’re getting to see what we can expect from this version of the ride. It appears the overall concept of the ride will remain the same based on the images that have been shared. Olaf and Sven are still offering up that warm welcome we’re used to! And…

… it appears we’ll still catch a glimpse of the dynamic duo of sisters in the Frozen Fever short outfits after our journey up — and ultimately back down — the North Mountain. We’re also catching glimpses of the first ever Frozen- themed coaster ride.

This is the first Frozen-themed coaster in the world and will be brand new to World of Frozen and Disney parks alike. Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs are said to have been built by Wandering Oaken himself who’s also enlisted the help of Olaf and Sven. They’ll work together to power the attraction and pull the sleds to the top of the lift hill.

Before hopping on the coaster, you might see some borrowed elements from a scene you’ll spot in the Frozen Ever After queue line at Disney World. You’ll be able to spot Oaken in his Sauna and will walk by a column he’s working on that is carved with Trolls.

As for dining, we’re getting a look at Golden Crocus Inn.

It’s named after the national symbol of Arendelle and we’re in for a real treat as we’re told it’s quite a popular spot with local Arendellians. It’s known as a place where they love to meet for parties, celebrations, and of course, enjoy the delicious and diverse cuisine.

If you’re looking to pick up just the right souvenirs to commemorate such a momentous trip to Arendalle, consider stopping by Tik Tok Toys & Collectibles.

While it’s tucked away within the village, Tick Tock Toys is a charming toy shop operated by a wood carver and his wife. As the name suggests this will be your go-to place for toys, keepsakes, and collectibles. If you keep your eyes peeled, you might even spot playful carved depictions of favorite “Frozen” friends around the store.

The last look we’re getting a sneak peek of is for Playhouse in the Woods.

Here, we’re offered the chance to visit Anna and Elsa’s childhood playhouse. In honor of celebrating Summer Snow Day, you’ll be able to enjoy a unique interactive play experience within the playhouse.

All of these scenes shared with us are really starting to kick up the excitement as World of Frozen draws nearer to completion. We’ll continue to keep you updated as we learn more, so stay tuned to AllEars as we continue to share more soon.
