There are quite a few Disney movies and shows we’re looking forward to!
We’ve got an impressive lineup of Marvel films on the horizon, as well as multiple Star Wars Disney+ series. But besides those things, we’re excited to get more details about the new Descendants movie…and we think you might be interested as well, once you see who’s in it!
If you’re a fan of the singer Brandy, then you probably know all about her performance in the 1997 film, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. The film came to Disney+ in 2021 and created a whole new host of fans, and now, Brandy is set to reprise her role…now in the Descendants franchise!
The new film is called Descendants: Rise of Red and will feature Brandy as Queen Cinderella, alongside her King Charming. Paolo Montalban, who played Brandy’s Prince Charming in the 1997 movie, will be reprising his role as well. Check them out in the footage Disney released!
According to the plot of the new film, the royal couple now have a daughter of their own, reports Variety. “The film centers on the relationship between Red (Kylie Cantrall), the rebellious teenage daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe (Mia Baker), the cheerful but naive daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming.”
We’re excited to learn more about the plot of this movie and to see Brandy and Paolo Montalban in their iconic roles once again. We’ll let you know any more updates!
