2 More Stars Join Disney’s ‘Percy Jackson’ Series

Disney just announced more cast for the upcoming Percy Jackson TV series, coming to Disney+.


We’ve already learned who will play Percy and his friends Grover and Annabeth, but now Disney has revealed the actors who will play Zeus and Poseidon.

Disney+ announced that Lance Reddick will star as Zeus, and Toby Stephens will star as Poseidon in Percy Jackson and the Olympians. 


Poseidon is Percy’s father in the story, and Zeus is the king of the Gods who threatens war if his thunderbolt is not returned, thus inspiring Percy’s quest.

Other members of the cast include Walker Scobell as Percy, Aryan Simhadri as Grover, and Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth. We also saw that Lin-Manuel Miranda will star as Hermes.


You’ll also see Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, Timm Sharp, Dior Goodjohn, Olivea Morton, Charlie Bushnell, Adam Copeland, Suzanne Cryer, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Timothy Omundsen, and Jay Duplass in the series.


Reddick (Zeus) is known for his roles in The Wire and the John Wick films. He’s also been part of Resident EvilBosch, and One Night in Miami.

You may know Stephens from Alex RiderLost in Space, and Black Sales. He starred in the James Bond movie Die Another Day as well.
