Why Disney Fans Should Book a Trip to Philadelphia

Disney’s 100th anniversary celebrations are giving us tons of ways to celebrate.

From a new nighttime show in Disneyland, to all the platinum-colored merchandise you can sport, there is no shortage of ways to participate in the event. Even The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is joining in with a special exhibit, and Disney just shared a BIG update about what will be on display there next month!

That’s right, Disney just shared a BIG update on Disney100: The Exhibition to kick off the 30-day countdown to its opening!

Starting on opening day, 23 artifacts, or “Crown Jewels,” from the Walt Disney Archives vault of treasures will be on display during the exhibit. According to Disney, these items will “showcase a taste of the wonderful world of stories that will highlight the legacy of The Walt Disney Company at the exhibition”

This collection will include items such as a Story Script Page from Steamboat Willie (1928).

You will also be able to see the Spell Book from Hocus Pocus (1993), used by Disney legend Bette Midler.

The exhibit will even have the Disneyland Park Jungle Crusie Attraction Vehicle Model used by Walt Disney in “A Trip Through Adventureland/Water Birds” — Disneyland (TV,  1956).

We have already seen some exciting details about this exhibit from the museum, and are looking forward to checking out these galleries next month!

This exhibit starts February 18th, and advanced tickets are highly recommended — so make sure you pick up yours if you’re hoping to see this gallery when it opens!
