An Iconic Christmas Movie House is For Sale - With a Big Catch

How much would you pay to own one of the most recognizable Christmas film homes in history?

This year we’ve seen a few iconic movie and TV homes up for sale, including the Byers house from Stranger Things which was listed for sale in Georgia! Now, there is another famous movie home for sale in Cleveland — but it will cost you more than a pretty penny to call it yours.

According to the listing on A Christmas Story House & Museum’s website, the iconic home featured in A Christmas Story is up for sale, after decades of serving up nostalgia as a museum for the beloved movie.

Brian Jones, the owner of the home, shared in an interview with Variety that he is passionate about preserving the landmark’s history. He is holding out for a potential buyer that will carry out his vision of making the museum a truly interactive experience for fans, complete with a Santa mountain and BB-gun range.

Jones hasn’t shared the asking price for this landmark, which includes an entire acre and seven different properties, though he joked that the interviewers’ offer of $4 million wasn’t even close.

In addition to a hefty price tag and screening process, any potential owner would have to abide by the city’s rules for the property if they wanted to make any changes since it is named a historic landmark.
